On this page forum.appian.com/.../Data_Types.html the any type is described on the very top. To work around this, you could create some constants of simple types and an expression which creates an ad hoc data structure (see my example above) using this constant values. I think this is the way I would go.

@priyaj.. I need to create COnstant with data type Any type with some value. I tried it by giving value in following format => "test". But it is giving invalid value message.

I also tried to create a constant of type ANY. In what format do I have to enter data? I tried something like this "{a:1,b:2,sub:{c:3,d:4}}" which is the normal syntax for creating adhoc data structures.
