Has the "default community" been deprecated intentionally, along with all subfolders? Several of my projects have their main document archives located underneath "Default Community" within their own parent communities, etc, and as of the 18.1 upgrade we are no longer to add new files to any of these folders when we need to. This doesn't seem sufficient.

Communities have been deprecated. You should use knowledge centers instead.

in Appian v18.1, do you know how to create the Community Object? I can't find it.

As a reminder, as of 7.9, Knowledge Centers no longer need to be in a Community, so unless you are trying to be consistent with an application built prior to 7.9, the Community is allowed, but not necessary.

Note that this only applies to Community objects. Knowledge Centers can be created in the new Application Builder by clicking "New" -> "Folder" -> " Knowledge Center"

That's correct. You should still use the Designers Portal to create it then add it to the application using the new Application Builder
