Thanks for your response.

My requirement is different. I have list of UPDATE statements in PV and the number of statements is not defined.

For example:

UPDATE TableName SET columnName = 'value2' WHERE columnNAme = 'value1'

UPDATE TableName SET columnName = 'value4' WHERE columnNAme = 'value3'

UPDATE TableName2 SET columnName = 'value4' WHERE columnNAme = 'value3'

I have created a AC in setup tab of Query Database and configure it with the PV, but it is not working.

Hi Rahul,

As I understand you need to execute multiple update statements

on a single table - write the query in the setup tab of the smart service (Query database) and give custom AC variable (ac!id ) which should be same as the column used as a filter. Then you can provide PV variable for that particular ac created in inputs.

Had you able to achieve this functionality? I am also working on similar POC where I need to execute multiple UPDATE statements on tables. I have the script in a process variable. While passing that variable to query database node, it is breaking.

Please let me know if you have achieved this.

We will study the security issues and may have manual control on this aspect. We are having POC to see whether this approach could be achieve.

Why are you unable to map a CDT? The approach you suggest has many security issues - any user could issue commands like drop schema or truncate table - and would appear to me to be a terrible user experience.

yes, it's unable to map a CDT.
We are not going to execute some predefined SQL. My idea is:
1. Have a sail form to let user paste the sql
2. Approver review the case and pass to operator.
3, Operator simple click a button to execute the sql.

Does this mean you're unable to map a CDT to the table and use the write to datastore node as would be usual? If so, have you considered the use of stored procedures and the related smart service?

It sounds like you're trying to implement permissioning on tables by sending flat SQL; what's the use case for this?

I've tried this node, .
My idea is :
1. Create a UI to allow user key in the script => and save this script into pv!a.
2. In smart node - Query database, use ac!a (value = pv!a) as sql statement.

But failed.
Besides, number of update statement is not fixed, using Query database smartservice node seems not flexible.
