@harshav No worries. You may do so but I am sure that you are aware of the behavior of 'Include data from sub-processes' setting. So, as long as the results are yielded as desired, you may proceed. And re cdt[1].id, that's fine, I just wanted to check a possibility of the multiple type of the variable.

Re the effects of configuration, I would suggest checking the other dependent functionalities on the corresponding Portal Report object. If there are any, I would suggest mentioning them at a very high level so that myself or community can come up with some inputs.

Earlier in this post, you said that the report is working fine in Dev but is not able to do well in Prod. I would suggest investigating the root cause and draw a conclusion by analysing the deployed application's contents (as there may be a chance that the intended objects aren't moved while deployment) or the pattern among the process instances (that is, why the instances in the Prod aren't able to show up the value when the instances in Dev are capable of doing so. For instance, 'Allow data from this sub-process to be included in reports on the parent process model' might haven't been checked initially and is updated in the recent versions.).

Thanks for the inputs sikhivahans, But I tried in this way please let me know will this effect any where,
In Report context, I gave a Main Process model which doesnt have any tasks, and made a radio button to Yes for including the subprocesses, Now I changed that to adding all the sub processes, in the report context and made the radio button to No. Now all the IDs are getting populated.
And my CDT value is single so cdt[1].id will not work .
Please let me know if I can do like this.

@harshav May I please ask you to observe any differences between the processes that are able to populate value and that aren't? I believe it would be tough to conclude until and unless we draw a pattern by carefully analysing the artifacts(that is, for instance, is the PV multiple in some cases and singular in other cases?).

One more question please - Would you please be able to configure the value as pv!CDT.id[1] or pv!CDT[1].id and check once again?

I tried Appending that ID to process ID field as pp!id&"-"&pv!cdt.id and changed it text field. now , The process ID for those rows in which the case ID is not getting displayed,.... the process ID column also gone blank :'(

basically I am doing a task report per process model and the pv!cdt is same across the subprocesses, and it is configured like pv!cdt.id and it is number

sure , it is coming from the process variable and it is number integer field, it is a primary Key. it is coming from the CDT, pv!CDT.Id and there is no link to task ,

also the strange thing is I am using that Pv for the tp!display that is coming correct. like task Name-123 but in the report when I call this pv It is coming blank not sure why this is happening.

Thank you sikhivahans for the detailed Inputs,
I have checked the following things 1. In all the sub processes it is configured.
2.Variable is not hidden
3.The variable Name ID is same in all the processes.
4.I am running the Report as Run as administrator
5.Data is present in Main model and the sub processes, but it is not reflecting in the Report.
If I use the getportaldatasubset also I will get the same data which is there in report right, I need to have that data in report so that I can use the output for some other purposes.

@harshav Hi, as a part of brain storming, it would be good to have answers for the following questions:

If data isn't present in report:
1. How is 'Allow data from this sub-process to be included in reports on the parent process model' configured on sub-process nodes?
2. How is 'Variable is hidden from parent processes and reports' configured for PVs?
3. Is the variable name same across all the processes?

If data is present in report:
1. Is the functionality being executed under basic user privileges? If so, does the basic user hold privileges to the processes that were present in the report?
2. Did you analyse the data present in the report and are you sure that there would be an outcome?

To the best of my knowledge, the quickest way to debug is to use a!queryprocessAnalytics()/fn!getportalreportdatasubset()(If a version prior to Appian 7.8 is used) and apply the filter settings same as in Execute Process Report. Debugging this way and a few permutations/combinations thereafter will help you identifying the issue as per my knowledge.
