Thanks @sikhivahans, we tried this scenario on test groups and it is working. We will try this same on Designers group.

@kaushikr Hi, it seems to me that there could be two possibilities here:
1. You might have tried removing a Group whose Parent Group is still a member of the Designers Group.
2. The Groups you have tried to remove (but aren't removed) might be added to Designers Group by rule.

Though the Designers Group is a System Group, to the best of my knowledge, there isn't any restriction in its membership updates and it is just same as any other Group object in the Appian instance.
