Both of these threads were from over 6 years ago. I don't see what new or helpful information is added by dredging them back up now, since Arun's final comment on both threads was correct, considering the updated functionality of the time.

If I recall correctly, before those group rules were locked, so you couldn't change which users were selected to the 'Tempo Users'.

But now, as you said, it's possible to change them and remove users from access Tempo.

I believe it can be achieved by selectively adding groups which need access to the 'Tempo Users' system group. By doing so, all the remaining groups will be restricted accessing the Tempo. By default 'all users' are added to this group by Membership rule 'add all users'.

We have the exact same requirement - tempo is not a suitable place for our third party contractors to land at deliberately or accidentally (if they get a registration email or anything).

I was advised to log a ticket for it to hit the backlog to make site vs tempo a configurable security option - suggest you do too - you don't ask you don't get :-)

Probably something that can be configured at the Web Server or App Server level by restricting url patterns.

With Appian, you can define Default pages for users (for example users that are members of GROUP X are directed to SITE Y, or start at this Record, etc.). You can also restrict access to the Admin Console, App Designer, and Quick Apps Designer from Appian. However, all users have access to Tempo.
