@kaushik can you mention the timeout value. what you have mention in .properties file.

@margaret.haymann thanks for the link, i changed "worker.template.reply_timeout" property from workers.properties file but i am getting this error even after that. May be i need to open a support ticket.

When you upgraded did you reset the timeout setting? See post forum.appian.com/.../e-221380
Without any log file entries you may need to open a support ticket.
