The important point is to identify where the info about the user being Out of office is obtained from. It can be a process in Appian or integrate with a calendar utility. Once you have it, you can look for tasks assigned to the user and reassign them and also as part of rule based assignment, future tasks can also be automatically reassigned and/or exclude the user who is out of office.
