Also you have to consider a point that, this link will work only if you have Appian credentials. If you are planning to send this link to any other external users who doesn't have Appian environment access, then you might have to see a work around

Hi Jags,
You can use href tag in the email template as mentioned below and pass the documentId to get the document link in the email
<a href="https://your environment/suite/doc/###docid###?appian_environment=designer">Download Document</a>
