lastModified property also gets updated when we add any user to group, so I can't exactly trace whether it is updated by Add user operation or by renaming it.

Hi Ajinkya, if we change Name for any group still group id cannot change, so we can use group function by passing property parameter as lastModified. Hope this will helps.
