I am not sure of the Appian version that was available at time in 2011. Would it be possible and does Appian have backward compatibility to "un-archive" these old process

RE: Un-archiving old Appian processes into the latest Appian version

You can unarchive any process that was archived in Appian v6.0 or later into any currently-supported version of Appian.

If you have processes that were archived from a version of Appian prior to 6.0, you'll need to unarchive them and re-archive them before upgrading.

If you were first archiving from a current version in 2011, you will be fine. The current versions then were 6.5/6.6 (docs.appian.com/.../Product_Release_History.html).

You can unarchive processes created on older versions on newer versions of Appian

RE: Un-archiving old Appian processes into the latest Appian version

Thanks Naveen. The un-archival of old data is more for reporting and audit purpose. I would be ok to be able to just view the process and not perform any action.

RE: Un-archiving old Appian processes into the latest Appian version

Hi, we have un-archived processes of near old versions of Appian to 16.3 Appian cloud. We didn't see any challenges. I don't think there won't be real big challenge even with the older process instances.

But we may definitely think about some of the features which were deprecated V17.1 or in near past Appian versions. Also the process instances which may used plugins may not behave as expected due to the latest upgrades to it.
