The output of the call from external system should be of type ".doc" and once retrieved save it as a document(in the outputs "New Document created").

Hi Divya,

Your external system should return the document (file) itself in desired format. You cannot add a doc extension in Appian after that.

I think there is no specific way for appending the file type , the desired file type will be embedded n the request URL itself.
