This is a generic error message when a certificate authentication fails. Firstly check if your certificate and its chain to see if they are valid and current. Then you need to configure this certificate to work in an HTTPS mode on Tomcat. For that follow the instruction on the link - <a href="https://docs.appian.com/suite/help/18.4/Configuring_Apache_Web_Server_with_Appian.html">docs.appian.com/.../Configuring_Apache_Web_Server_with_Appian.html</a> - Pre-Requisites Point 3 and Generating a Certificate section.
