Hi TMRam , i have been following this thread from past 15-20 mins. For This answer , initially TMRam from his Account posted answer and he has verified his answer, After 2 mins I saw that TMRam answer was deleted and has posted the same answer and got verified. May I know what is happening behind the scenes.

Auth :- login for Appian to access the external system.
Permissions :- Appian read/write access as needed.
URLs & Methods :- correct website addresses and commands (GET, POST) for the API.
Data format :- Agree on JSON or XML for data exchange.
Test :- Make sure everything works using testing tools like POSTMAN.

hi TMRam you can use SOAP if : The external system provides SOAP-based web services, You need strong typing and formal contracts for communication, WS-Security features are required for secure communication.

You can use REST if: The external system provides RESTful APIs, You prefer lightweight and flexible communication, Your integration involves CRUD operations on resources.

REST API Seems to be best choice for my requirement.
Anything specific i need to remember when configuring REST API in APPIAN?

REST:-
