This is an app server related error since it's the app server the one that does the connection, the db_PX log is not useful in this case since it will only show the generic error. The application-server.log is the relevant one in this case.

I am looking into the same issue along with Rajesh. I examined the PX log. It also contains the same Error Details.

2015-09-08 06:29:02 [PX001] {pe1768.kdb 232127} (Default) ERROR .a.noa "Activity 63703: 'Web Services 2.0', Process 635721: 'testGetGlobalVendorList', Node instance 182844: 'Call Web Service'" "Cause: An error occurred in executing an Activity Class. Recommended Action: Examine the activity class to correct the error and then resume."

Is there any other log file where I can find more details about

Other web services hosted in the same place where this problematic one is hosting?
Other web services in that same server taking the same amount of time?

The point to remember is that a connection reset indicates the end-point is terminating the connection NOT Appian.

no SSL. In fact, there are other Web Service exposed as well which Appian is able to consume. That's why we are not able to understand the issue with a particular Web Service where we get connection reset issue.

Is the connection over SSL? Check if you have the firewalls enabled to communicate to the endpoint from Appian?

From SOAP UI, it works fine. There are total 29000 records. All records comes in response when we test it from SOAP UI. But, even with 10 records (set in backend), we get connection reset issue while calling from Appian.

A connection reset indicates the end-point has a connection timeout setting shorter than what it takes to fetch the response. I suggest you contact the end-point to verify what this timeout is or measure it yourself and coordinate the increase of its value if possible or fetch in batches if you can't control this timeout.
