Can you please confirm is you were able to connect to Teradata from Appian.

Actually we also have similar requirement and would like to understand how to connected to unsupported DB(Teradata) from appian.

Hi Robert,

Can you please elaborate on the steps to connect Teradata DB from Appian?

We are also trying to connect Teradata DB from Appian.

Steps we did:

Installed the teradata jdbc driver in tomcat/lib directory.
Created a data source in tomcatresources.xml
added conf.data.datasources = <teradata JNDI> in custom.properties file.

Still we are unable to connect. Please let us know the further/missing steps.

Thanks in Advance. Teradata was not part of Appian supported RDBMS.

I'd recommend that you explore options to access your Teradata data source using web services.
If you can expose your data source as a web API, you should be able to easily connect and query with an Appian Integration object.

I would recommend investigating the use of web services to hit systems that are not supported by "out of the box" RDBMS connectors.

Correct, Teradata is not a supported RDBMS and as such, unfortunately we cannot provide support for issues encountered.

Which appian version you are on ? And does that have the latest HotFix patch installed ? We faced similar issue with 16.1 and it was resolved by installing the HotFix patch.
