Hi All,
I know we can create folder , through process model , But can we create sub - folder also , if so can anyone let me know how to do it .
For eg : For Request id 1 i have uploaded 2 doc , suppose assume if doc 1 belongs to category 1 and doc 2 belongs to sub category of 1 , the doc should be saved in their respective folder, it should also check if the folder/doc exists or no .
Can anyone please help me on this !

When you create a new folder, you can define the parent. Just create the first folder and store the created folder as a PV. Then make this the parent of the second folder.
For checking existence: The folder() function allows you to get any folders and/or documents in a given folder. Should be easy to check then.
This is definitely possible. You can string together "Create Folder" smart services and you can either pass in the parent folder or the parent knowledge centre and save the output folder object into a process variable.
Don't forget to set/modify/inherit security if that's a requirement and you can also move the folders created into the desired application using the "Add Objects to Application" smart service.
Thank you Stefan Helzle and ajhick for your replies.
Hi @ajhick , Thanks , the above solution is working . I am stuck with another scenario can you please help me with it : I have 5 parent folders and 2 - 3 child folders for each parent folder . Can you give me an idea on how to compare and check whether the folder has been created or no.
As Stefan said above, you can use the folder() function.
Okay , Thank you ajhick
i got this error when trying add object folder to application
Did you check the tomcat-stdout log for more details?
Why are you doing this? Adding a dynamically created folder would make it part of the deployable application package.
Hi , this is my tomcat-stdout log and i see same error "Unsupported type: 12". i want to create insurance claims form, where every claims have 10 images and store to folder claim.
-Folder Claim 1 - Document claim 1
- Document claim 2
- Document claim 3
........
-Folder Claim 2 - Document claim 1
The unsupported type 12 is a Knowledge Center.
Is there a specific reason for why you create folders for each case? Do you need to restrict access? If no, I would not create folders.
