The other reason for publishing is to expose news feeds (which of course I doubt you're using if you have a site 🙂). In general there isn't a need to publish an application that doesn't use Tempo.

yea that is the only reason you publish the app. It does not affect your site . i you dont see actions in tempo even after publishing the app then check your security.

Is this only the need for publishing the application? If i dont want to see them in tempo then its not needed right ?

And even if i publish my application i am not able to see them in tempo what would be the reason for it

HI vaddhicharanc0001, If you have created action in your application then you would need to publish the app to see those actions in Tempo. See below image , mentioned action items are only visible when application is published.
