ok I will try that and let you know.. in-fact there are 17 interfaces that got created. I just tried a couple of them but was not able to even search the word "required" or the <fieldname> in the expression mode. I will try all 17 just in case..

go to your interface.
change to expression mode
delete the parameter "required: true" of your a!textfield()

One of these interfaces is used to capture the data. Edit the right one to change this.

yes no problem. I am doing the course - Certified Appian Developer. Still on my way

I know how to create an interface... but in this case i am not there yet (I am trying to build something on my own and comitting those mistakes). So until now what I did was

1) create the application with full application builder feature

2) while doing that I need to define the fields to build this interface (for eg.)

I see the required field here.. mark them required

3) Later I realised that I need to revert back a couple of field from required to not-required. How do I reach this place again?

okay..thx Stefan. I have just build this application using full application builder so the NEW NOC TRACKER interface got created automatically

When I see all the interfaces - I see the following interfaces that refers to my record data named NOC Tracker but none of them allows me to make those 2 fields non-mandatory

am new to this..sorry. any hint will be of great help

really not to try blaming you, but did you do do a basic course (for example provided by appian online academy) how to create an interface in Appian?

Paramter: "required" needs to be deleted or set to false()

This is done on the interface level. Not in the data type.
