Falling back on my default answer from last time someone asked the same question a few days ago - the academy online courses have existed for a lot longer than the Community Edition sites. I know that's not a very good answer but at least I'd say it's worth trying to get through even if you're unable to get one. And of course also try emailing communityedition@appian.com occasionally, explaining your situation, to see if they can help you out.

You will be provided an instance based on the details that you have provided while requesting for it. You can try replying to the email by giving your reasons why you need it quicker and what makes your requirement a priority flag for them to provide you the Site. Other than this there is nothing much you can do.
