With the help of FitNesse you can test your interface, or you can use default value as well and if you have any requirements for the value, you can set the value for the rule inputs and test it.

But I need to do unit testing and want to know the value changes in rule inputs and local variables in the interface.

You could use some way of UI test automation as described in the Appian documentation.
