Can you please elaborate on your requirement? Are you trying to attach an image to the HTML code you're using as the body of your email, or do you just want to add an image to the email?

Older threads here have covered this in detail. In short, you can attach the image to your email (as a regular file attachment) then reference the attachment (via a slightly special method, but it isn't too hard) using image ref tags.
