Dynamic Document Generation: PDF from DOCX - Unsatisfactory Font conversion

Hi,
We are also facing the same kind of issue when we convert word to PDF the fonts are getting changed and the table bordering are not reflecting the same as source. Also the formatting of the data is also getting scattered.
Please advice.

I think in order to deal with these requirements, it's better you can go for PDF from XSLFO smart service, that really does the decent job while converting PDF from DOCX

If my starting point is a DOCX template, can I use the XSLFO transformation?

I wasn't planning on rewriting the initial template, but would like to improve the PDF representation of the DOCX.

If we are using XSLFO transformation, we can't use docx as template.
We have to use .xsd with fo elements as template and xml file as dynamic data. Internally the plugin will map the xml data where ever required and gives pdf document.

mikej117 As aloks176  mentioned XSLFO is the perfect option for you there you can get desired fonts, background colors, margins page numbers, footers etc. The below is the example code. Use this code and try to modify it to requirements.

Thanks kondetiv, the sample code is useful to illustrate what would be required.

Unfortunately, I don't think that my client would like to go down this path as it requires some fairly technical work to produce a template for the required PDF. They currently produce around 10 different PDF output files with quite different contents, so they want to keep the complexity to a minimum.

Even i am not able to work upon some solution by using DOCX as my base template to get desired PDF. As of now i don't think so there is any solution to get desired font by using a DOCX template. OS, you'll either have to consider "PDF from XSLFO" smart service or you should explain the client that you would not be able to change the font in PDF if you start with a DOCX Template.
