The FTP server currently in use is being decommissioned so we need to transfer all applications to a new one that is being set up as a FTPS server which requires that a client certificate be installed on the machine (in Appian) that is connecting to it. So - neither the SFTP nor SCP smart service can work. Also - in the documentation that comes with the plugin, you can only send one file over SFTP at this time. We've been using the FTP smart service which allows for the transfer of multiple files. We use this for both sending and receiving files.

FTP-S may be a bit tricky, since it may require additional configurations.
Any chance you can switch the server to use SFTP or SCP? Maybe support can be added for both FTP-S and SFTP?

Thanks Mike - I was afraid of that. I'm not a Java developer so I'm not sure how easy it is to add a new smart service to the plugin to provide for a Client Certificate authentication.

I have not set it up in such a way previously and I do not think it will work, maybe others can weigh in.
If the authentication method is indeed via a client cert, then the plugin will certainly not work as it has no provisions for that.
It should be easy enough to try ahead of time in a lower environment but likely you will need to add a new smart service to the plugin.
