An alternative to the LogReader plugin is Log Streaming which is a new feature available in Appian Cloud. Log Streaming allows you to ship login audit logs to a centralized location in your network in real-time. Your security team can then monitor user activity by consuming logs directly on the syslog receiver. See the docs for more details: docs.appian.com/.../Log_Streaming_for_Appian_Cloud.html

Thanks Mike. This is what I suspected. I do think the plugin has merit though, particularly in cases like what I was trying to use it for - to send log files to our security team so they could monitor things like user access.

udy I do not think the LogReader plugin will work on the Cloud since 17.1 - that is when the file system changed. The plugin likely will need substantial updates to get the data. The source code is included in the plugin, so you should be able to make changes if you like. I will also raise it up internally for someone to take it up in their spare time but I do not think this will get done any time soon.

Thanks Alok - couldn't find him to send a message via Forum or Community but I send him a message via Linked in. I also realized we're using 18.1 - not 17.4. Is there any other way that I could retrieve a single log file from the /logs site?

I didn't use this plugin 17.4 version, so not sure whether it supports new versions of Appian or not. By any chance did you had a look on log, is it throwing any exceptions behind the screen?

We're on 17.4. Not sure I know how to contact the contributor of this plugin. How do I do that?

Hi yes you are right, log reader plugin is cloud approved. But I believe it's a pretty old plugin and hasn't been upgraded later again, thats why probably it might not be supporting the latest version of Appian.

What's your current Appian Version?

I recommend you to follow the documentation of this plugin. If that still didn't work then it's better you contact the contributor of this plugin, probably he might help you in this.
