Hi Venkat,

I am getting an error as below. Please advise on how to fix it or if anything wrong in the way the sheet number is being passed. It is a Number(integer) type and passed 1 as the sheet name given was 1 in excel file. Please refer to the attached screenshots.

???Sheet index (1) is out of range (0..0)???

Hi Santosh. Thanks for sharing this doc.

A small correction in Appian 18.2, noticed the Parse Excel to CDT is in Integration Services section and not in Appian Smart Services section.

Please find below things for how to use the Parse Excel To CDT .

1. Please make sure your excel should like this .

2. Please find below Screen Shot for configure the Smart Service.

3. Please find Screen shot for Out Put Configurations.

1. Please make sure sheet number [Delete Hidden sheet] otherwise will give exception error.

2. Please make sure configure row and Column properly.

Hi Anshu,

1) Your CDT should have the same column name as available in the excel sheet.

2) You need to mention which sheet number you want to parse into cdt.

3) Mention row number as well from where you want to read the data.

4) provide the CDT, in which you want to parse the data.

There are three things that I would like to point out that I have discovered while using the Parse Excel to CDT smart service :

1. Where it says row number to read from in data tab inputs, the row should be the first row with data that actually matches the CDT
fields, not the one with the titles of the CDT fields .
2. With any dates or numbers that may have been calculated using a formula, it will not parse this information, so you need to make
sure that it has an actual number or date not a formula as its value .
3. I'm not sure how well the errorOccurred variable is working, because it wasn't able to see any of the issues I mentioned above .

That link takes to place where we can download its files, but they don't clearly mention how to use particular smart service with syntax or example

Hi Anusha ,

As "Parse Excel to CDT" parses the data for which the CDT fields are matched with the column name in the excel.
