The plugin only support Times Roman font, so if the characters you are using are not supported by that font (many are not), you are out of luck.
Not sure what is going on here with just digits. We tried loading fonts into the plugin but the library that is used in the plugin to do the conversion does not seem to use them anyway.

I dont know If this is possible for you but, If you can use generate PDF form XSLFO plugin it works lot better than word to PDF.

Hi,

Can you give a try by changing the font of the digits in the template and check or try to view the PDF in a different PDF viewer.

Hi,

Are you first generating the word document with Dynamic document generation smart service? If so create the word template from scratch and then try to generate the pdf.

This is what i did in my case and it works, hopefully it works for you.
