The documentation states: "The barcode component does not support barcode scanning on Appian's web user interfaces. Instead, users can manually enter barcode values."

Hi Stefan Helzle , When Using Barcode Through Appian Mobile . Scan Option is Coming Like this

But when i am trying to use the same in Portal Mobile this Button to Scan QR Codes Is not Coming . Its coming as plain Field even Though the Defined Accepted Types are Given .

On Portal its Coming like this

Button to Open Camera To Scan is Not Coming . I saw BarCode are Portal Compatible .

Please let me know what Slight changes am i Missing ,

As per the documentation, this is to READ bar codes and also QR codes. In case you need to create QR codes, check out this plugin.

We have used some barcode generator website, dont remember the site name, but found it from Google. On that website you can assign barcode numbers or alphanumeric to each barcode. After that simply print it using your printer. When you scan these barcodes using appian barcode scanner it will pick the number generated from that earlier website.

appian has in built bar code scanning component please check in Interface components its avilable, I have used it for a POC, when using with Appian App it can scan & read the number or text assigned with the barcode.
