Hi guys, I have almost the same question, buy in our case, we are generating and dropping it into an SFTP server and getting into the process using the "Receive File Over SFTP" node; how can I save this document into an old one as a new version?

Oh my. I must be blind. Sorry. All the "* Doc from Template" smart services can do this.

How are you generating the PDF? Are you using the PDF Doc from Template smart service? If so, you can change the "Destination" configuration in the Setup tab to "overwrite and existing document".

In our 7.4 environment the smart service is still available but deprecated. I do not know why. As far as I know there is no other functionality that provides this feature. Maybe Appian support can tell us.

yes that is correct.
Basically I ness smart service which will take two docids as input and will version first doc with second.

So if I understand correctly you have a PDF template that should be used to generate a new document whenever some data is modified. What method do you currently use to generate the document?

I ma generating pdf document using form data.This form data can be changed in process life cycle,whenever this form data undergoes a change, I need to recreate a pdf and this new pdf should be version of previous one.

What exactly do you mean with "new version".

- a copy so there are two documents
- a new version (V1 -> V2) of that one document with unmodified content
- a new version (V1 -> V2) of that one document and modified content

The document is modified by what? A process, user upload or something else?
