The issue is caused by special or invalid characters in your Excel file. Clean up the file at the error line, escape quotes correctly, or use only valid delimiters to fix it (Google this for detailed solutions). Alternatively, download a file from other source without opening it directly in your system, upload it in Appian, and try again.

The process flow executes successfully without any errors. The logs, I noticed the following error message:

Seems to be correct only.
Could you try like below syntax,

{todocument(first_document_Id, todocument(second_document_Id)}

I'm also facing the same issue with the Combine Excel Sheets smart service from the Excel Utility plug-in.
I've configured the input by passing multiple documents as shown in the screenshot below.

It worked for me.
As i mentioned earlier i used Combine Excel Sheet(Excel Utility).
How you are passing values?

Does any of your files contain inverted commas in text like "text something" . This error is caused when the excel has special character like this. So look out for them and try with excels having clean data

Hope you are using Combine Excel Sheet(Excel Utility).

Looking at the error, it seems your Excel files likely contain CSV-formatted data or special characters causing the delimiter error. I recommend starting with just two simple Excel files and trying to merge them first.

No error on the process model. Excels just have one row for testing.

What error are you seeing in the process model? The sheets you are trying to combine are they all properly populated?
