Hi Phanibabu,

Since you had copied and create this interest column, the field will refer the actual column from where it was copied. Please follow the below steps to change the field reference in the template.

1. Right Click on the new field(d.@interest) which you had created and click on edit field.

2.Change the Field name under the Field Properties tab to ${d.@interest} and Click on OK.

Update the new template in Appian and try, the new field value should refer to correct data .

Hi Ram,

I was able to generate the document dynamically.

However, if I want to add a new column in the template, it behaves as if it is adding but when run it tries to pull the value from another column and display here.

Eg:- The columns in the template are name, dob, address

I want to add a new column called "interest".

I opened the template and copy one of the columns and rename d.@dob (or) d.@address to d.@interest.

When I run the template, interest is always replaced with value of dob (or) address (from where it is copied)

I tried multiple ways but not able to avoid it.

Should we add a column in a specific way to the template? Please suggest.

Hi all.

I'm having problems with this smart service. I have tried bulding the app with the guidance provided with the tool without success.

Could someone share a working Appian application to this threat so I can see the tool working?

You need to maintain the structure which is specified in ADT guide.pdf which is kept as reference to the Advanced Document Templating shared component. And the tags i specified are just for demo purpose you can use more relevant tags which suits your requirement.

Its Working fine.

Name Tags used in that xml data model are suggested tags to be mandatory or it is for demo purpose ("<DocFromDynTemp>",<rowvalues>)

I uploaded the template while posting the query. I tried with below template also to generate the document but it is not working.
The Template used in adtDocxTemplate.docx was not dynamic. So i passed process variables in that template.

Hi Krishna Prasad,

Did you specify doc.project as a list if not please take a look at the adtDocxTemplate.docx which is attached to the shared component.
It specifies how to declare a list. For your reference i am attaching the mentioned document to the comment.
If you can attach the template to the post it would be helpful in debugging. Hope this helps you.
