I would like to suggest the solution provided by Venkat Kondeti is good one, One more way is like select the entire column and format the cells to Text and save the excel sheet instead of formatting each cell. Saving this type of values in text is good approach.

Hi bhanuprakashm, while saving the value in text field of CDT you can use this function for that field cleanwith(fixed("800001058",3),"-0123456789.") , it wont convert the value in exponential.

Format the data in excel sheet it self before uploading into appian.

try saving this value not in a text datatype but on number(decimal)/float field

can you open your excel sheet and right click on the corresponding cell and select format cells option. Now you will get one window. In that window select number tab and select category as text. Now do this for all the cells in that column. Give a try and let me know. PFA for example.
