Unexpected Error After Deleting Scheduled Process Model in Appian

Hi All,

We had a process model in Appian that was scheduled to send a report every Sunday at 11:59 PM.

Later, we discovered an issue with the report it was generating. Due to business requirements, we exported the process model, saved it locally, and then deleted it from Appian.

I had assumed that the scheduled activities were tied directly to the process model, so deleting it would stop the scheduled execution. However, this Sunday, we received an error stating:

Problem: An error occurred in executing an Activity Class.

Details: Process Model has been deleted. Process designer could not be retrieved

Recommended Action: Examine the activity class to correct the error and then resume.

Can anyone please help me to understand this scenario?

How to enable Process insights and Data Governance in Process HQ?

I am trying to enable Process insights and Data governance in Dev environment. I have added "Data Fabric Report Creators" and "Data Governors" group to "Process HQ Users Group". In the required records and event history record security I have added "Data Steward" group.

Is this any setting/prerequisite I am missing to enable Process insights and Data governance in Process HQ?

ADD PROCESS button is not visible in Process HQ

I can generate a dynamic pdf using html template and html template from doc service followed by PDF from HTML smart service. But cant display image. In html template i am using image src and in src i make it as pv and pass the image field/rich text image with document image having document id from appian. Image is displayed as image icon but no image displayed. Any idea on how to get these done dynamically?

Need a dashboard screen in Appian which shows the daily schedule runs on whether they run successfully or there was a failure, and show relevant logs messages to help debug issue in case of failure to load data into Appian from third party OR failure during downstream integration.

Any thoughts? How can I implement?

I have contact recordtype and experience record type with 1 contact to multiple experiences, linked through contact.id = experience.contactId.
I have a form which saves contact details and a editable grid to capture multiple experiences. When I save I run a process model to first write to the contact DB and then I am writing in experience data entity.

In the wirte to DSE for experience, I have mapped the input of data note in second process with contact.id generated automatically from DB in contact table.
This works fine with 1 experience entry, but if I add 2 entries then the process error out as for 2nd experience entry the contatId is null and due to which unable to write the data in experience table.

Can someone help?

Process Mining Instance for Community Edition

Hi, I've been trying to access process mining from my community dashboard but whenever I click on "Request my account" button on the Explore Process Mining section and select the region (in my case, India) and click on check Status, it resets itself and I'm back to "Request my account" again. I haven't received any emails regarding process mining and I'm aware that it might be a server issue but just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one stuck in this loop.

Defect in Process Model - For subprocess and start process smart service if we change assignment are able to add interface on Forms tab. What is the use of it ?

We are able to add interface on Forms tab. What is the use of it ? And if we change values in PV, changed values are not getting passed to child process.

Parent process variables have updates values. But child process has old values. (Not updated in this start process smart service Form ) Find document for reference. community.appian.com/.../Defect-in-Process-Model.docx

Unable to Trigger Process model From Start Process Node

Hello Everyone,

The parent process model unable to trigger the child process calling through the Start Process node. The same child process model trigger fine when trigger through the "sub process" node as synchronous/Asynchronous . Verified the parameters thrice and every thing looks good.Also Observed below error in the logs.
