Hi,
Add dummy script task before gateway and pass all its input connections to dummy script task first and then from dummy to gateway.
This is due to limitation of appian.

You are absolutely correct that it's not strictly BPMN-compliant; this has been a point of contention for many years but i don't think it will ever be changed.

Thank you all for your responses, I'm afraid I have to use the dummy script although I think that it's not strictly BPMN.

Due to limitations of Appian Gateways the only option is adding an empty script task node before the gateway.

Hi Vctoro,
Routing the flow to a dummy activity before the gateway is the only solution to this problem.

An empty script task is the normal way of doing this in Appian, due to the gateway limitations you've already discovered.
