1. Yes. When you create a start form using process model, parameter variables will be mapped to the rule inputs.

2. For complex and custom data type its also creating respective rule inputs. It might be applicable for old versions

Hi Jude,

I suspect the language here is a holdover from the Appian "Portal" days. Before SAIL was used for start forms, when process variables were marked as paramaters, a portal start form was automatically generated and provided input fields for those variables when debugging or starting the process. I suspect CDTs did not have the the same behavior in that version of the start form.
