Is there any way to determine the node type of a process model, using any smart service or function?

If you are trying to do this within Appian, you can try to use the task properties available in each PM by uniquely naming the nodes or by adding descriptions. Then you can use process data. But, this relies on your designers to follow your guidance.

If you can do this outside of Appian, you can use the data in the XML of each PM. Look for the <nodes> and you can use he <icon id> or <ac>/<local-id>to get the type (but you may need to create a mapping).

Just some thoughts.

RE: Node Type

Hi Nazeef,

AFAIK There is no such functionality available. Could you please tell us more about your use case?
