We have a requirement where we need to send an email with the start process link and as the user clicks on that it will open the first chained user input task in that process.
I have tried adding the above component in the expression editor in

RE: Add Start Process Link in the Send Email notification

I understand, but then you loose control over escalations etc. If it is important that the user completes that task, I would assign it.

Active processes are no problem in general.

RE: Add Start Process Link in the Send Email notification

User sometime takes days in accessing the task via the link given in the email and until then the process instance will be active. For the time being we are using the Link to Site in the email. Wanted to explore on providing the link for start process as we have similar for record link - urlforrecord.

RE: Add Start Process Link in the Send Email notification

Yeah I agree with this approach - you could have the start form display for your action and then the user would always be able to access the form if you link them to this page. Plus, it will only start the process model once they submit the form, so you won't end up with as many abandoned process models.

RE: Add Start Process Link in the Send Email notification

You can try another approach, provide your site link where the action tab is present. they will have to click once more to start the process

RE: Add Start Process Link in the Send Email notification

OK.
