During process upgrade, if the cdt version of that pv is changed then the pv of type CDT will not be upgraded and show Incompatible pvs error message. For example, in the process instance the CDT version defined in the PV is 1 and at the time of Process Upgrade if the CDT version is 2, then we will receive this error.

I never did upgrade any processes. Build your models to be short living and you will not have the need to upgrade.

Yes ive read that and can't find much detail around when and why we would encounter a INCOMPATIBLE_PVS error while performing the upgrade. Have you had any experience around this?
