Why not call an Appian API Endpoint from your Python script to add the files to Appian?

Hi Mathieu,
We are running a python script to get the files and these files get saved in our server. Our requirement is to get these files in our local appian application so that users can download these to their local systems.

They would be in our Appian server. How can we get these files to our appian system. Our customers who need these files are basic users having access to our site pages with minimum access roles.

What kind of files do you need access to on the server that you can't put in Appian?

Are you on premise, and these files are located on your server but outside of Appian (e.g. not Appian document objects)? If so, you can use a plugin such as Appian Collab / Filesystem Utilities. Note this is not a cloud-approved plugin.

If it is not on your Appian server, then you will have to use integrations to download that file from any third party platform that supports API connections.

You can get these documents if you know the document Id of the generated documents and you can use a!documentDownloadLink() component or a!documentViewerField() to make it available to the user for viewning or downloading purpose, please add more details so that we can answer more specifically.

For sending these files, you'll see "Add attachments" option when you configure Send Email smart service.
