Stumbled upon this reponse and wanted to check which is true. In the following link: https://docs.appian.com/suite/help/19.2/Appian_Data_Types.html , under Documents, it is stated "If the ID number of a document is known, you can convert it to this data type using the todocument() function. Document IDs are not reused if the document is deleted."

Process IDs are NEVER reused. Other object ids are (groups, documents, etc.)

just to give a background, we are using envelope method of Process Design, where the Parent Process consist of only the Business data which is actually executed in a sub process. This sub process gets archived immediately after completion and we push Business and process data to db. However we are mapping everything to pp!id (primary key) in the db

But aren't process id's reused if the process is deleted... something to be wary of if writing pp!id to a database etc

Process IDs are not reused, even if the processes are archived. On unarchiving, the same process ID is assigned.
