We have a similar issue, after talking to Appian PS team it has been planned in future releases.

Mohammedz, There is a link in the task assignment email, when the users click on link on the email, I want the user lands on sites instead of tempo.

Have you configured users in Admin Tab

1) That is pls assign a group in User Start pages with respect to the sites URL

2) If i am right you are getting Task I'ds from portal report and using processtasklink in your SAIL ?

Just change the settings in User Strat Pages so that task will gets open up in Sites only
