How to capture the Bot exception in the "Clean Up" section of the Bot.
Thanks

RE: How to capture the bot exception in clean up section

thank you, Danny!! I thought of clearing (or removing) some of the artifacts in my rpa resource based on exception.

anyway, I can see the 'failedsection' now, that meet my needs.

RE: How to capture the bot exception in clean up section

https://docs.appian.com/suite/help/21.4/Execute_Robotic_Process.html#node-outputs

Looks like it's called failureSection

Since you have the failure section, can you explain why you might need to change a variable in the clean up section?

RE: How to capture the bot exception in clean up section

Thank you, Danny!! I can see the section "Error (Integration error)" in output tab, not 'failedSection'? We are using 21,4 version. How to get the "failedSection"?

Apart from 'execute robotic process', is there any method to read unplanned exception to update the process variable at "Clean up" section. Just a thought.

RE: How to capture the bot exception in clean up section

Within the smart service 'Execute Robotic Process' there is a field in the Data -> Outputs tab called 'failedSection' which will return the name of the Action Group where a robotic process failed.
Thank you! Of course, my question is regarding the appian rpa. We created no of Bots in Appian rpa w/recommanded design pattern. we are able to handling business exceptions and drive the appian process model as required.

Q. How to handle unplanned exceptions in the robotic process level. Is there any method or work around to capture the unplanned or intermitttent exceptions in "Clean Up" section?

I understand that "Clean up" section is a default section would execute at the end of process.
