Appian RPA does validate URLs, but we allow HTTP so that's not the issue. The more likely error is with your domain, especially if it is a local domain. We are looking into relaxing these validations to allow for more types of local network domains, but for now, Cyrus' suggested workaround is the recommended approach.

Try using this in RPA:
Open Browser, then use Keyboard Shortcut (CTRL-L) + Type Text (to type your URL) + Enter Key to navigate to the site.
