I found the problem, for some reason you marked with Id and GeneratedValue two other fields; that's not supported. You can only mark one field as the primary key. The attached XSD works

Hello Eduardo, Thank you for your sample example. Attached is the cdt which ihave created, let me know if the data type uniqueidentifier,bit are appropriate. Also, When Trying to publish it to datastore I get the following error: "Please correct the annotation error and re-import the data type definition."

We are trying to fetch the data from View only, and yes it is read only. i havetried creating the table through datastore, but it is displaying to correct the annotation:

If it's just for reading data try what I said in my previous comment since that passes the validation of the data store. If it doesn't work you can try creating a view.

- Using the Query RDBMS smart service and manually mapping the outputs to a CDT
- Building a custom smart service

I just re-read my previous comment and it says: "The following syntax is only compatible at the Hibernate level but not at the JPA level" so definitely these won't work with JPA.

This works for validation but still tries to pass the primary key as an empty string in the insert failing to do so
<xsd:annotation>

                              @Id
                              @GeneratedValue
                              @Column(name = "UniqueColumn" columnDefinition="uniqueidentifier")
                    </xsd:appinfo>

I think the answer is still the same and JPA doesn't support this.

These annotations will map to a primary key in SQL Server that is of type auto-increment if that is what you need
