Hi all,

For anyone still facing this issue, this is a component that has to be specifically enabled in your environment. You have to contact Appian support in order to get this done (besides already having 25.1 version of course)

Hi thanks for insights but my environment is 25.1 but still i'm facing this issue and this component not showing in my palette

Hi gayatria0439 i'm using it in 25.1 but still facing this issue as record chat ,data fabric chat and document chat not showing in my palatte not sure why

Hi , Yes, I have also faced the same issue when I tried to use this in the 24.4 environment:I got 'Expression evaluation error at function a!documentsChatField [line 2]: a!documentsChatField cannot be called from a user rule,' error even though I have permission to view that file. So, I went through the documentation and discovered that this feature was released in version 25.1. Therefore, it may not be available in version 24.4. You can check the details here: 24.4/page-not-found. The latest version is 25.1 Documents_Chat

I'm also facing the same issue and my env version is 24.4 and It could be because the a!documentsChatField() function was introduced in Appian 25.1.To utilize this function, ensure your environment is updated to Appian 25.1

and also wanna know is there any specific reason that after upgrading to 25.1 still record chat bot,data fabric chatbot and document chat is not showing in palette ?

i do have permission for that document and record as well from where i'm retrieving the document ID.Still same issue

Hi ,

I've used the same code with all the usecases you've mentioned, they are perfectly working fine!!!

It may be becoz you don't have atleast viewer permission to that particular document, can you confirm trying with a valid document?
