Agree with Abhay, using column layout should give some proportions but it is like 1/2,1/3,1/4,1/5 etc proportions else need to wait for new Side-by-Side layout in 18.1

HI Praveenm,

1) There is no property available so we can divide screen size based on our demand like 40/60 ratio etc. It will always 50-50. If you are using columnslayout then it will divide the screen in the same size to the column which you have been used.

2) In your use case, one columns layout and then use two column layout. In first column layout display the links and in the right pane(column layout ,display the results).

My use case is like an IFrame in html in which each frame can have separate target urls that can be loaded. In my case I will have a page in the left lane that has links and right pane displays the results.

18.1 will have ~40/60 capability and other distributions, both with a new Side by Side layout, and a section layout width capability. As Mike mentions, prior to 18.1, you can use a!columnsLayout to do even distributions like 50/50, 33/33/33, 25%/25%/25/25, etc.

What exactly is your use case? For a 50/50 "split view" the first thing I think of is having a form / section with 2 columns, which handles the 50/50 split by default. Unfortunately for now there's no way to define relative column sizings, but maybe someday.
