If you use the expression search to find these, make sure to use the other suffixes of deprecated functions (per docs.appian.com/.../function_versions.html) such as _17r4 and _18r1 as well, so you can be sure to find everything.

I think the best approach is to use the /design/objects view to find all objects containing "17r1" then you can find dependents of all thos objects. This should give you the different layers you are looking for.

In "objects", search "17r1" and change the search type selector to "Search in Expressions". You should then get all instances in your system where a!formLayout_17r1, a!sectionLayout_17r1, etc, are used.
Also if this helps, these functions are deprecated but will most likely still continue to work for quite some time now.

I would recommend you take a look at this page: docs.appian.com/.../function_versions.html

The versioned functions are not deprecated, and may continue to be used indefinitely. But many customers will nonetheless want to take advantage of the improved functionality offered by newer versions of evolved functions, and we certainly encourage you to do so going forward.

If you do want to convert your existing usages of older functions to their newer versions, that's great! But you should be aware that evolved functions will not all necessarily work the exact same way as their older counterparts, so you'll likely have to make the change on a case-by-case basis, rather than with an en masse find-and-replace.

Finally, to find functions matching certain text, such as "17r1", you can use the built-in Expression Search functionality: docs.appian.com/.../find_and_search_in_appian.html

AFAIK, this is not available in Appian. You would need to build a script that takes a list of files that contain the "_17r1" keyword and turns it into a readable list.

One method is to add all of your objects into an application, export the application, unzip the download, and run a search to find all occurances of "_17r1".
