Hi Robert thanks for the reply. The user is logged in, however, the site which logs them in, an internal to customer site does not have capability to embed Appian tags. The sites displays multiple tasks from various systems to the logged in user and Appian is one of the system to show the task to logged in User. Users will have a list of tasks from various systems on their left panel, and on click it will display the task on right panel of browser. This system cannot embed tags as provided by Appian, but can embed links like say task link. But i do not want users to see their profile and stuff on like a site link, anyways to work that out.

Actions are a protected resource in Appian.
A user must be logged in, and have the appropriate entitlements to start an action directly.
from your other comments, it sounds like you're looking to perform an anonymous and "headless" operation, or, in other words, to leverage an Appian resource without logging in and externally from Appian.

Appian doesn't currently support anonymous logins.
If you're interested in starting a process remotely, consider using an Appian Web API.
To use tasks or actions from within another site, embedded is the appropriate course of action.

You can embed a report using <appian-report> and in the report you can have a link field or safelink based on your requirement.

Hi Harish,

I got your first point like, When we embed appian-task then it will only display task nothting other then that and my client wants us to have a link to tempo from there then we put tempo link on the UI like, if it is calling from the embedded interface we show that link otherwise we do not show that link.

Coming to your next point I am sorry I did not catch that point.

To describe my case better, if we embed an Appian task using the <appian-task> tag in a website, then it displays only the task and does not display anything else related to Appian there in.

But if I put a link like a site link, i think it will display the other tab bar and user profile bar, can we display a task link, just restricted to the task.

We have a need to embed Appian form in another site, which only accepts links to be embedded.

Thanks Nick - will not sight come with a user profile button on the top right corner? That might be an issue.

You can always utilize the "Site" object where one of the pages is the Process Start Form or a Report. That way the URL will always be static h t t p s : / / s e r v e r . c o m / s u i t e / s i t e s / SITENAME / page / PAGENAME This will also allow you to customize which tabs display after clicking the link to reduce the noise from News/Other tabs
