N columns can be 1 till N number which is determined by the file they upload or the data they entry. So each row has a value which is mapped to a column

RE: Icons on Editable Grid.

Hi Joubin, i'm not using any with variable but the performance went better with the checkbox approach Miguel gave.

RE: Icons on Editable Grid.

Hi Jose,

Do you have many with() variables? It's possible that the with() variable reevaluations are slowing down your interface. Otherwise, have you looked into the performance view?

RE: Icons on Editable Grid.

I'm using a rich text field with an IF statement to show ON or OFF depending on the value and a dynamic link to change the toggle.

RE: Icons on Editable Grid.

Hi @Jose Cavazos

Just a quick question here, what function/rule are you using to decide, which image to render conditionally on the Grid ? for example: displayvalue(), choose() , Decision Object etc..

The reason why i am asking this because, when you are dealing with huge amount of data, you should try to avoid complex logic / multiple conditional statements such as if() while rendering each row of the Grid, as this will be evaluated for every single row.

RE: Icons on Editable Grid.

Since batch size displayed cannot be changed, can you replace those icons with radio buttons or checkboxes? This should improve the performance of your grid and should work the same way as they are expecting from the icons. If this is no negociable, you should do what it is suggested in the comments and double check with the performance view to analyze these issues you posted.

RE: Icons on Editable Grid.

Hi Jose Cavazos

Issue with using editable grids with batch size of 50 and nearly 10 columns is that with every change to the cell or any other field on the interface. all the fields initialized in grid will be executed in the above mentined case 500 Imagefields will have to execute on each cell update.

RE: Icons on Editable Grid.

It's not happening in every click. That said, you mention in problem 1 that you are saving to a cdt in the process model, is that happening on every click? If so, you may be able to improve performance by saving locally in the interface and adding a Save button to persist the changes to the database. Have you reviewed the performance view in the interface designer to pinpoint the cause of your slowness? That could help in improving your performance.
