Hmm, but you would never be able to see multiple captions at the same time anyway, right? I don't believe there's much you can do in this case beyond providing a way to expand the column to show more details directly inline.

all the icons in the left side have different caption size i guess if the caption background size is same for all it would look more good

Can you post a screenshot of the issue you're having with multiple captions? There might be other ways to design the page that could still get what you want.

As far as the profile icon, it isn't possible to customize that. It will always show profile and settings options on click.

One more thing can i customise the profile icon size in my project and also how to put hover on that?

as i'm using many navigation bar there are many icons and all have different captions and the length are also different which doesn't look good so i was tiring to make caption background width same

As far as I know it isn't possible to define the width of the caption - can you describe your use case for why this is necessary? Typically it will adjust automatically based on the location / size of your interface. Also in general I'd suggest keeping captions relatively short - if you have a large amount of instructional text I'd suggest thinking of other ways to show the information - maybe a link to a section with more details?
